We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Jared Millar to Partner and George Jackson to Associate.

Jared is particularly passionate about working with SMEs. George is an exceptional young lawyer, and has become an invaluable member of our successful and hard working commercial and dispute resolution teams. He thoroughly deserves this promotion.”

Jared joined James & Wells in 2004 and works with a wide variety of clients in numerous industries including animal health and husbandry products, automated dairy technologies, building and construction technologies, fluid applicators, power generation, and vehicle suspensions.

He specialises in drafting, preparing, and prosecuting patent applications, and has expertise in freedom to operate and patentability investigations, validity assessments, patent oppositions and restorations, and design applications and registrations.

George joined James & Wells in February 2019 as a Solicitor and specialises in dispute and enforcement in a range of intellectual property rights, but with a particular focus on trade mark and Fair Trading Act 1986 matters.

With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, George has an avid interest in many aspects of Technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence and the regulation of new and emerging technologies.
