We are thrilled to announce that James & Wells Managing Partner Tim Walden was named Law Firm Leader of the Year (in the <100 lawyers category) at the recent 2023 New Zealand Law Awards.
Tim has steered James & Wells through another year of growth, continued expansion into Australia, a restructuring of the firm to accommodate a trans-Tasman partnership and significant IT upgrades, all whilst challenging the narrative of what it means to be a law firm. Tim is a human-centric leader with a great sense of responsibility for staff wellbeing. He leads with compassion and invests in the firm’s people through the lens of wellbeing, career growth, openness, and collegiality.
